Ultimate Guide to Badges under Profile Names

Hello All,

I haven't been able to find a complete guide on the badge system and would like to start one here with your help! I've compiled a list of some of the badges I've come across, along with what I know about how to achieve them. However, there are still several badges that I have questions about or lack complete information on. If you have insights or additional details on how to obtain any of the badges or know more about, please share your knowledge! Once we have most / all of the badges requirements, I will edit or recreate a comprehensive guide to ensure it is easily accessible to all users!

Badges So Far:

• Supporting Member (Subscription of $30 per year)
• Partner Member (Buy a Partner Membership during the Timed Events)
• My Tank Thread (Start a thread showcasing your build; paste the URL in your profile)
• My Aquarium Showcase (Similar to ^^, make an Aquarium showcase)
• Excellence Award (Will have to be nominated for this Badge)
• Photo of the Month (Enter in the POTM Competition, with #POTM)
• Article Contributor (Write an article and contact a mod for posting)
• Reef Squad (*No longer Active* - Was a team of "Go-to" members)
• Reef2Reef (Purchased R2R's LEDs: Limited July-August 2023?)
• Hospitality Award (Welcome people to R2R and be nominated by a Mod)
• Black Friday Sponsor (Must have paid for a Black Friday Sponsor)
• Reef Tank 365 (Be nominated for Reef Tank 365 Award)
• Wisco Reefers, Ohio Reefer, Alaska Reefer (Join Various Clubs.. how to?)
• R2R Secret Santa 2023, 2024 (Participate in the yearly Secret Santa)
• R2R TV Featured (*No Longer Active*)
• CTARS Member (?)
• Reef Tank 365 (?)
• Controller Advisor (*No Longer Active*)
• Fish Medic (Given to Experts in Fish Health)
• Expert Contributor (Industry Experts and Professionals)

Partner member: buy a partner membership during the allotted time frame (usually for one month)
Aquarium showcase: similar to a tank thread badge, just make an aquarium showcase
Excellence: be awarded the excellence badge, this requires people to nominate you for the excellence award
Reef Squad: was a team of members who were the “go to” in answering questions, this is not really a thing anymore
Hospitality: welcome enough people on reef2reef and you’ll be nominated for this award
Black Friday sponsor: given to sponsors that paid for a Black Friday sponsor spot
Reef 365: be nominated for reef tank 365 award
Clubs: join the various clubs on reef2reef and you’ll get a badge for the one you are in
Secret Santa: participate in the annual r2r secret santa that we do (more information on the thread)
R2R tv: not an active badge anymore
Controller advisor: not an active badge (this is similar to the reef squad badge)
Fish medic: given to the experts in fish health
Expert contributor: industry experts/professionals

The Reef Squad sounds like a worthy group to have. Was it not successful? Not enough members to function? Lack of consensus between members on responses? Would be nice to have a go-to group for coral questions.

I have no idea. They are still around though. They have the dark blue names, and the Reef Squad badge.

Other badges to add to the list:
R2R App User - I think you just have to login using the R2R app.
Thread Starter - I assume you just need to regularly start good discussion threads and get nominated?
