I plan to move up to a 185 gallon reef and would like to know the difference between and which one is recommended between the 2 ultra reef 200 series skimmers. I'm currently running the ultra Reef 160 on my 55 gallon reef sea.

They look relatively similar. I say get the cheaper of the two. Maybe someone else will chime in!

Call Scott @ Aquarium Spec to Discuss - The 180 might work for that tank as it's rated for 79 - 185 Gallons.

Typhoon UKD-200 will be oversized for your tank.

200 Rated for 105-300 Gallon

Typhoon Rated for 132 - 396 Gallons

I've got a 160 DC on a Infinia 125.3 now and picked up a UKS-200 for the Reef LX 290.6. Prev. ran a 180 on the 125.3 which was overkill.

IF YOU HAD TO OPERATE EVERYTHING ELSE MANUALLY, WHICH AUTOMATED SYSTEM WOULD YOU KEEP?
