any 1 use this type algae in the refugium? VS chaeto
the reason i ask because my chaeto always break apart into tiny pieces.

There are many Macros out there to use, including the one listed above. No need to limit yourself to just Cheato.

If your chaeto isn't heathy enough to stay in one piece, ulva won't make it. Ulva is pickier than chaeto, prefers higher light and flow. It is also very thin and tears easily.
