Also even if you see a thread has a couple of responses it is always good to chime in and give your input to the thread even if the answer has already been correctly given.

You might consider filtering out the sponsor forums from the unanswered threads link. Most the items appear to be posting for sale items and don't necessarily require a response. I only found a couple of threads on the first page that were actually unanswered questions.
