Hi All! I am looking for a good small footprint skimmer, the longest side of the base/footprint has to be 8.5" or less to fit in a custom narrow sump for a 150g tank I'm having built by Glass Cages. I have been searching online and found these, any input on them, or other recommendations are appreciated:

Waterbox 140

Bubble Magus Curve 5 Elite

Quantum 120

Reef Octopus eSsence S-130

Your feedback is appreciated! Or drop links to other recommendations. Thanks

What are you planning on keeping. If the bio load is light enough, you may get away with one of those, but they seem undersized for your water volume.
Hoping someone can help you out with another option.

A few fish and soft corals (mushrooms, palys, Kenya, leathers, gsp). Do you have any feedback on the Quantum? I’m leaning toward that

I don’t know anything about that one but per Bulk Reef Supply the Quantum is recommended for smaller tanks.
BRS Recommended for tanks up to:
  • Heavy Bioload (Most Common) - 50 Gallons
  • Medium Bioload - 75 Gallons
  • Light Bioload - 125 Gallon
Will you have anything else for nutrient control, a refugium, algae scrubber?

What dimensions and how many gallons is the sump?

The only skimmer that small I can think of that could work for a tank your size would be a LifeReef Hang On Skimmer.

The ones you listed will need supplemental filtration for anything but the lightest of bioloads.

IF you use a filter roller you can downsize the skimmer by 1 size to account for it.
Might just be what you need.
