How long on average can I expect my 3 head acan lord to start growing and creating new heads? I haven't had my success in growing lps, keeping them healthy but not multiplying except my Duncan. It's taken about 8 months for my Duncan to go from 2 heads to just now the 6th head is growing. Hammer hasn't budged from 2 heads in about a year and my Frogspawn is still new also, less then a month with only 1 head.

Many factors come into play. List your water perimeters and tank setup. Lights, and depth of tank to lights. These factors will help determine if issues are hampering the corals. There is a difference in corals living and thriving.

All tank specs are in my sig. Lights are 8" above water on the factory mounting legs. And lighting schedule is as follows:

TP1 08:00 Ch1 0% Ch2 0%
TP2 09:30 Ch1 40% Ch2 65%
TP3 11:30 Ch1 65% Ch2 90%
TP4 18:30 Ch1 65% Ch2 90%

Acan is center bottom slightly to the right.
