Does anyone know what this wrasse is and the care of it? My store lists it as a white cigar wrasse but can't find much info. I know they get big (I don't know how big though, I was told about a foot), but I'm wondering if it keeps their color as white and gold are my favorite color combo. It's been in the store for months and has been eating well.

Hologymnosus rhodonotus
As they get big, they'll eat anything they can fit in their mouth, including fish.

Huh. He looks a bit different. He has gold stripes and a clear tail, as opposing to red stripes and a yellow tail. Would copper discolor him? He has been in copper for months. Do they keep this color?

Perhaps is it the hologymnosus doliatus juvenile?
Whoops; you're right! I didn't look hard enough at the first pic. ;Sorry

Same answer though. And no; adults are very different in appearance.

Depends on the fish, but I have found Hologymnosus species to be much more peaceful than Thalassoma species. But these guys flip rocks and corals like crazy.

A peaceful thalassoma?! (I know it isn't a thalassoma but has the same physical traits as an adult) Too bad they get about 2 feet long... I have a 240, but I doubt it would do well once it gets bigger.
