Ive recently added some rock anenome and a kenya tree to a 65 gallon tank thats been up and runing for about two years. I just noticed some of these small fungus looking things. I can tell if they are aptasia or not. Some of them (second picture) have tiny filange (sp?) . Ive had aptasia in this aquarium a year ago, but it was cleared out by a filefish and pepermind shrimp. I understand that their is a likeleyhood that there could always be a small aptasia hidden somewhere, but this seems to be a new sudden appearance.

Also, there's several that have appears just on the rock. Last time I got aptasia infestation it was localized to my zoa rocks, and it wiped them out. These also don't look quite the same as the aptasia last time. They look more like a fungus to me than aptasia. Im sure it's something super common but I can't figure it out lol. Thanks!

Thank you so much! I was starting to wonder if I just had another aptasia explosion in my tank. Maybe just hitchhikers on my new corals then. Im assuming as long as they aren't bothering the new additions they are good to let go? Thanks again!

I believe it is a sponge I have some that look similar.
