Agreed ... so it's looking more like just a monti.

I saw one that looked the same on EC and they called it a montipora. It was cheap too!!!!

Nice piece! Does it extend anything from the larger eyes? Just wondering if those larger eyes are part of the coral or if it's something that it has grown over.

I bought a rainbow montipora that came encrusting over a colony of tube worms. It was portrayed as a branching & encrusting variant, which it really wasn't.

we have a winner....at least i think so...just looks cool with the larger growths from the hitch hikers...

Yup looks like a Cyphastrea. Its obviously not open though. Here is a picture of a comparison to one of my Cyphstreas.
