Hi everyone, I've noticed this snail cruising around my tank for a while now. He has definitely grown and is nothing I've put in the tank. He moves as fast as a nassarius snail, and kinda looks like one to me... but the spotted shell is throwing me off.

Thanks!

My first guess was stomatella but the spots are making me wonder. I'm interested to know as well.

He was pretty tiny when I first noticed it, and definitely moves at a rapid pace for a snail ;Watching

would you consider it reef safe? I’ve read mixed things about it since you named it.

Reef most likely but other snails might be on the menu. Not convinced by the photo it's an olive snail, could be or something similar let it grow for a little.

i looked at the olive snail and the shell on this one is less oblong than the pictures I see of olive snails. His shell is very shiny, and he’s been growing fast.

Glowing Marginella Snail came up in a search I did today, as I got a fighting sand conch and he had a snail as a hitchhiker who looked very similar. This is the aquarium depot picture for a "glowing marginella snail".

He’s gotten a lot bigger! I have some new pics to see if anyone can ID now that he’s larger.
