Hello Reef2Reef community,
I'm hoping someone can identify this type of algae that I have growing on my rock. The tank is 6 months old and was started with Marco dry rock and Caribsea special grade live reef sand along with Aquabiomics live sand seed. It has gone through the ugly brown phase and a bit of byprosis that was dealt with by a good size cleanup crew and Flux Rx. Below are pictures of my tank and strange algae that was removed and placed on a paper towel.

Thanks for your help. I think I'm going to try to find a fish or invert that will eat it.
