The circulation is provided by my using Vectra L2 return pumps really as powerheads with Mobius on a Reef Crest variable flow setting. There is no plumbing used at all. The pump intake sucks tank water into the chamber through a screen at the bottom of the chamber.....and jets it out through the top of the chamber....and then through the rockwork.
The chamber is created by using the typical alcove space that an end overflow creates on either side. Instead of being open to the tank, these alcoves are walled off with an intake screen at bottom.....and a hole at the top for the water to jet out. It is really no different than using a typical powerhead.....but rather than a plastic cage surrounding the pump, mine are surrounded by an entire chamber.
Florida is certainly suffering from SCTLD.....and anything from there could be a vector for that issue. I had SCTLD issues in my tank earlier this year that was corroborated by Aquabiomics testing. An Oxolinic acid treatement resolved that issue immediately and was also verified by a negative post treatment Aquabiomics report.
