Upgrade apex base unit?

I was lucky and won a new Apex A3 from BRS. I currently own an older A2. I think the only difference between the two base units is that the A3 has flow meter ports built in. My controller board is pretty full so adding another FMM module isn’t possible but I could make use of the extra ports on the new apex for leak detection. Is it hard/possible to upgrade the base unit and not lose all of my programming?

Actually nevermind. Looks like the A3 doesn’t have orp and I run ozone. Would need another module anyways.
