I got the tank filled, and transferred back livestock. Fish made it fine. Lost two corals (that were on their way out anyway), and my candy cane and a teal frogspawn are having some issues.

I did attach the hob fuge but I'm not running it as such. I got the Aquamaxx protein skimmer hooked up, and I decided against mechanical filtration for now. We will see if I regret that.

My stand is a Top Fin. In the center section I have clean white towels...now affectionationately known as "fish towels".

I also have my emergency bubblers out that I haven't put up. We have been having electrical work (the power company put up a new pole) and the power has been going out about once a week.

Since we have Littles that love to get into everything, we put the magnetic child proof locks on the doors. So you run the "key" over the lock, and it releases allowing you access. It gives my wife piece of mind.

In the left side, I have my various chemicals, dry foods, and cord management. Awhile back, I didn't have my "drip loops" right, and the water went straight into my power strip. Everything was fine, but the power strip.

So now I no longer leave it on the bottom, I hang it up. I also have my Nero3 and Ice Cap controllers hanging.

A couple months ago, also decided to get my first dosing head.
20240413_081129.jpg

Prior to getting this, I was doing it by hand. I got a Reef Factory single head pump. I'd read about the issues other R2R people had; but, BRS had them on sale so I decided to take a chance. I liked how controllable they appeared to be through the app.

I think people are a little harsh on them. I will admit it was much more challenging to set up than the YouTube videos made it seem. I think it took 4 or 5 times to get it connected to the wifi. Then I had some difficulties getting it connected to the app. One nice thing is you could scan a code on the device, instead of typing in the serial number.

Once I got it connected, I was able to calibrate, and setting a dosing schedule was super easy. You select the number of times throughout the day you want it to dose, and it automatically spaces them out. You tell it how much, hit save and your good.

Once up and running, I have had no issues at all. Works like a dream. I've lost power, and while it obviously doesn't dose then, as soon as the power was back, went right back to the program.

I like it, and would likely pick up another one or two if on sale. Now that I've set one up, I don't think it will be that hard in the future.

Man you've been through the wars a bit here but I'm glad it sounds like youre5 up and running again!

I think it'd be a good idea to get some macroalgae in there soon to help curb any impending algae blooms.
