Question would be what intensity should I start at if I was at 45% before!!

I'm amazed on the spread and how the colors are no longer doing a disco ball affect in my tank. Definitely worth the upgrade

i would think you could start 45 and work up. The par is going to be less with the new lenses

Only way to find out is if you have par # before you did the upgrade.
Some ppl made their own schedule in % as that worked for them but I know from Ecotech IT guys that there's no set % to ramp up for intensity.
I did the beta test on the WA lenses before they hit the market but took them off, to much light spill.
Now that all vary tank by tank, this might work perfect for you.

Thanks for your input, I need to borrow a par meter from someone to check the numbers. My hood is enclosed so I don't have any problems with the lights spilling.

What kind of par meter did you use for your tank?

It's a 60 gallon so 3ft long. It really helped blend the light so there is no hotspots. Also it helped the shading tremendously!

Someone posted par readings on a thread here at 45% with tir lenses and ran the new wide angles at 75% and achieved the same par readings plus or minus 10 points in reading.
I love the wide angle lenses. I have 1 g3 on my 40 Breeder with them at 9" above water and it lights the tankle great.
