Hi all, currently I have a 48' mixed reef tank running off two nicrew hyperreef gen 1 150W lights. I have been tempting to upgrade them with a Maxspect rsx 300W razor light, which I can get from China for around 600 new. My current Nicrew work just fine and I was just debating if it's worth to spend that extra money to upgrade to a Maxspect and sell the old nicrew. Primarily I would love to increase the spread of the light as the current Nicrew is a bit too focused. I would love to hear your thoughts.

That's a nice looking tank! I may do something similar to increase the spread. Thank you for sharing!

I have been running my 120x60x50cm with the RSX-200 for 5 years now. I run all channels at 100% power as I do not like the unnatural blue light. I recently added two Kessil 360x fixtures only because I had a chance to buy the used. Corals were growing fine with the RSX alone and a bit faster with the Kessils. After a power failure the RSX may loose their program and turn on in the middle of the night so you have to open the app to refresh the system.
