Upgrading my tank questions

Hi,

I am upgrading my tank this weekend, the tank is been running for around 7months now. I am having 1 clown fish, 1 damsel, 1cardinal and a bristle tooth tang. I have also some zoas and LPS corals.

I am gonna use 80% of my old tank water and rocks from my previous tank. Since I can see there is not much detritus build up in the sand because of less bio-load. I am planning to use the same sand after cleaning.

My question is
I can see there is lot of lives under the sand like worms etc., while cleaning the sand will it be dead?
Will there be new cycle when using a clean sand in the new aquarium?
Since I am moving all the fishes to my new tank in the same day, what will be condition of the tank? same as before or should I expect any parameters change?

The rocks are the main bio filter, so the rocks will keep your fish alive no problem. Keep 1 or 2 cups of sand to seed the new tank, and rinse the rest of the sand very well. Yes you will lose all the beneficial micro organisms, but with the cups you set aside, the new tank will quickly get seeded.
