Personally if your going with sand I would pick Fiji Pink.
As for your ATO cheap and reliable don't mix in my experience with ATO's. The Tunze 3155 is as good as you can get. It's never failed me and I'm terrible at remembering to clean it. I bet if I'm lucky I remember to wipe the optical eye once a year and after 3 years it's never failed me but has saved me hundreds of times. Believe me when I say the lil extra money on it will save you thousands on replacing your floor caused by a cheap knock off.

If you buy wet live sand it goes away pretty quick and you don't rinse it, if you buy dry rinse the heck out of it. I bought dry sand once and it took forever and 8 filter socks being ruined before the tank stopped looking like milk.

If you want a cheap ATO you can make one yourself. I made a 1.8L ATO for my QT using an empty Soy Sauce container (very convenient size and shape, cleaned and bleached) a garden irrigation connector, silicon and a float valve kit. Change out of A$20. Probably cheaper for you if you are in the US. The reservoir can be as big as you like.

Just take care and make sure sure your silicon seals are secure and as we say down under - Bob’s your uncle!

Caribsea Aragalive reef sand is a good sand. Won't blow around easily and comes with this bio additive to knock down the dust.
Been looking for it on amazon do u know which one it is ??

I just don’t want something that will blow around easy with my mp40s as my current sand is always moving and I can see the bottom glas all the time 3(
