Used apex?

Hello
I have somebody who is selling 8month old apex (system with 4 probles) and dls ddr
For 950
new one would be 1350
This is a big saying, but i am kinda scared buying used one.
any experience?

with it make any sense to use iit without or trident? How am I going to find out dosing amount ?

also doesn't it make a sense for small tank like nonocube 24g? I was thinking it would help to keep small tank more stable, since we know small tanks are hard to keep Stable.

No doubt a Apex would help you in keeping the tank for stable. Unless you plan on needing the ORP probe, I would just go with a new Apex EL and DLS DDR setup. It would be about the same and it would be new. If it were cheaper than maybe, but at $950, I would just go with the Apex EL option. ;)

Be sure the seller has kept the pH and ORP probes wet, including during shipment. If they dry out they will be ruined.

This is a good point, keeping those probes wet, i didn't think about it, he hasn't been using the system for 8 months , so now I am really concerned about it .
The guys is local. No shipping.
