I have some Coral Colors additives that expired about a year ago. Is there any danger to using them? I'm hoping they'll simply be weaker, but does anyone have concerns that they could actually cause problems?

Thanks!

I dont think they contain organics that spoil. But could precipitate out C or D are probably the most likely to do so i think.

Thanks for the insight! That was my hope. So, you think C and/or D might be a little stronger, then? Maybe does a little lighter on those?

Could I add RODI water to top them off, or is that all risk, no reward?

I ask myself..... 1000s of dollars worth of coral down the drain for 50$ worth of savings if something does go bad

Absolutely. And definitely an answer I expected to get :P

I just wonder if they should absolutely be tossed, or if the expiration date is more of a suggestion.

I dont honestly know what they would do, but C is iron and readily switches forms on its own, over time could switch to a form not used. D is a “trace complex”, the fact its numerous elements in suspension would leave me wary of what occurs over time.

Gotcha. So, maybe nix the C and D, and just use A and B, since they sound more stable?
