I was reading a post on a different board (not R2R) where the author was touting controlling/eliminating Cyano by keeping his nitrates at (at least) 10.
Thoughts??
Could this work??

If you have corals in the tank you want at least 10 nitrates anyway. Cyano is typically due to excess light, usually white light and lack of flow. Now if nutrients get out of control high that can lead to cyano also due to organic waste .

DO YOU THINK TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCEMENTS ARE MORE HELPFUL OR HURTFUL TO REEFING?

  • I think it depends mostly on the technology.
