UV Dose To Kill Coral Pests?

Hey kids,

Thanks for stopping in.

Does anyone know what the required dose of UV C radiation to sterilize organisms like flatworms, red bugs, etc?

Just a thought. Once the size of the organism becomes larger than a microorganism, the amount of radiation needed to kill it would have to be fearsomely large. Maybe a normal UV lamp could harm flatworm gametes but not the flatworm itself.

I completely agree with the extrapolation. I don't necessarily need them dead - unable to reproduce is good enough for me.
