I've been looking and I think this is the best UV for my smaller nano tank -

I'm guessing I will need a pump with low flow so it will work properly. Looking at the eheim 300 so I can slow the rate right down to minimal.

How do I even set it up? I'm guessing I will have two pipes, an in and an out. I guess I will need the pump on the out pipe as it will need to suck the water through the pipe, into the UV and the back out?

For those that know the evo, could i put the pump in the 1st chamber and then run a pipe either back into 2nd chamber or straight back into the tank?

Now sure how this all works. Will be to battle ostreopsis.

I would recommend starting without a uv sterilizer. Get your nitrate and phosphate balanced. Nitrate 10-15 phosphate 0.10 - 0.15.
Use filter fiber sheet, a piece about 6”x6” to 8”x8”.
Hang it in the tank using a chip clip or magnet.
Rinse it in the sink 3 times per day.
If you do this you will see it disappear within two weeks possibly a lot sooner.

Should I be doing water changes?

I've been using some floss in the tank and I am removing quite a bit each time, I don't know if it's working but it's been 4-5 days since I started so I guess until that floss is clean I need to keep at it

I would not recommend a water change.
Are you testing your nitrate and phosphate?

Yes, theyre still at zero despite me dosing about 1.2ml or each owe day. Think the algae is just feeding off it. Not sure what to do if I'm honest.

Dose a little more. I had to add every day sometimes twice a day during this time.
I still ad phosphate daily and add nitrate every 4-5 days now.
