Any of you reefers run uv on your tanks I have a 90 ltr cube reef and was wondering if its with the addition I can put it in the sump

Sure you can run it 24/7 or set a time. 90 liter is that around 25 gallon ? it has a separate sump on the bottom?

if you do, thats even better for an UV.
 
Theres a lot to consider about UV. First and foremost, what are you trying to accomplish? UV has different efficacy on different issues. Killing bacteria or free floating algae is a different game than killing ciliated protozoans. Both are possible, just have to plan a little different. I personally run a 57 watt UV inline with my return pump on a 60 gallon display for a bunch of different reasons. It is controlled by my apex and will turn off for functional reasons (return pump not running, etc) as well as after feeding or dosing any materials that woud be negated by the UV.

Yes it has a sump underneath with space for a uv would it be beneficial
