So take the light out off a UV sterilizer, turn it on, what are the effects on your body/eye? Instant tan? Even the possibility of going blind?

Just curious :)

do not do it!

This will ruin your day!it will burn your retna takes 24 to 36 hrs to stop burning so then you can see!:sad:oh yea very painful to.

So you don't go blind?

I wouldn't do it, but was wondering what would happen :)

Always nice to know these things and bring up the awareness I think.

i did it by accident, and i could not see for 2 days and my eyes were sluffing off dead tissue. very very painful!! the eye doctor said i was lucky not to have permanent damage.

ya not good...not good at all! prob the worst pain i ever felt. pretty much the doc put it to me this way....its like i sun burned my eyes and they are now peeling....

very scary....

this is a wavelength of light that kills small organisms - Kills cells. Your eyes would be damaged very quickly and blindness if the immediate irratatioin does not cause you enough concern to make you stop. - mark

it took about 4 hours for it to start hurting and to know that somehting was really really wrong! i was working on the light at about 6:30 pm and woke up at 11-11:30pm in the worst pain every!!!

the short term(could be a few seconds could be minutes) would be like a welders flash( feels like you have sand in your eyes for a day or 2 ) hurts like all hell
long term blindness, nightblindness, blind spots, skin cancer, radiation burns... its basically not worth it just dont do it!
