Hi everyone
I need a suggestion to know what would be the best UV sterilizer for my 240 saltwater tank?
I have a lots of dinos and algae sitting there

You need to know what Dino’s you have to properly treat. They need to be a species that goes into the water water column to kill with uv like ostreopsis,

I probably went a bit more extremes. Fourms will tell your roughly 1 watt per 3 gallon but the Only thing that ever killer my insane Dino problem was running 4-5x turnover at 150-180k um in a closed loop setup. I run a 228w (2 - 114ws) aqua uv on a 375 gallon to achieve that intensity. Ran 24/7 to eradicate may issue which it did. But now run it 8 hours a night only as maintenance given its intensity only cranking up the hours when needed.

To achieve something similar in a 240 would need to run 960 -1200 gph through like a 160w according to the aqua uv chart.

to answer your question:
Aqua Ultraviolet and Pentair Aquatics are two of the best.
I had and used the Aqua for clearer water.

Thanks for the delayed reply . So, it means I need a 160 watt UV sterilizer?

Pentair is what I have and I am quite happy with it. For your system I'd probably use their 80watt uv, and aim for 2-3x tank turnover per hour.

They are shockingly expensive, so before spending the money I'd definitely want to confirm the dinos disappear at night, if they do not, the UV isn't going to help you.
