Hey all. In the span of 2 days, my Kole tang went from healthy and vibrant to (I think) preparing to meet her maker. Last night, I noticed she looked a little dull, but only my blues were on. I put in some nori and she ate like crazy. Today I come home to her breathing heavy and laying on the substrate. Can't get a great pic of her because of her location, but it appears she had specs on her find and almost matte grey patches on her body.
Haven't tested the water yet and don't have the hospital set up (making water now) so I'm not sure if she's going to make it. It also now appears my wrasse has some small specs on him and he is being less gregarious.
Problem is, I don't know where it came from. I've not added any fish in months and not since a 72 day fallow for crypto (all of these guys survived that). The only thing I have added are corals (all from AquaSD). Most of those were frags, but last Fri I added a large Zoa colony rock. I Bayer dipped it for like a half hour and rinsed it for an hour.
Is it possible that velvet could have come in on a large colony rock?
Any help appreciated.
