Venmo dispute question

I did not buy them on here but figured this would get an answer

Has anyone ever filed a dispute on a purchase when you paid with Venmo with buyer protection?

The guy I bought these lights hydra 26hd’s from isn’t playing nice and claims that they must have been damaged in shipping

They are metal, one powers on but won’t connect to the internet

The other one powers on(little led light) but won’t reset

Contacted the manufacturer and they said there is a module on the inside that is most likely bad

I have tried to talk to him and he just keeps telling me that they worked when he shipped them but he said that he didn’t have a remote for them and these lights don’t use a remote so that tells me he is clueless

I offered to return them and he said he will take them back but not refund me my money

Disregard, it was user error. I was able to get them to work

Now I feel like a idiot lol
