verizon voyager vs. apple iphone?

It is! When he turns it off it says in a robot/girl voice "System off" Pretty cool. He also got an installer package from the guy he bought it from so he can install a lot of things free, like games and he can customize his backround and all that. His battery charge icon is a carbon fiber gas tank gauge too. Very versatile phone.

WOW!!! I've seen some of the programs out there that allow you to do things like this. Sounds like I need to do some research tonight.

I have the iphone for less than a week. Two complaints so far.

1. The edge network is slow

2. Battery life is not what was advertised. Loose juice MUCH quicker.

But it's such a sweet phone.

That's my only complaint! I really wish that was integrated. I don'y use that featre much, but it would be nice to have it. I haven't had any trouble with my battery life and I use mine a lot during the day Web browsing and email and talking a lot as well.

I've seen a the iphone and played around a bit with it and yes it is sexy. But I always wondered why someone would want one over a pocketpc phone? I can't think of anything I could do on an iphone that I couldn't on a pocketpc phone, but I can think of tons of things that I can do on a pocketpc phone that i can't on the iphone, mostly because of all the pocketpc software out there.....

ive got a windows based phone, but it doesn't have the coolness of the iphone; i'm heard pulling it out at a bar is a lady magnet.

the Iphone is too easy. Its the "point and click" of computers. they invented the point and click years ago and microsoft stole it, now they did it right with the phone. It is so easy its boring.

i agree with both of these assesments. i used to have a dell axim (pocket PC), that thing kicked butt. it didnt have wireless......but i could at least write up an email, then when i got home and synced it.....it would send the email. i could even look at word/excel documents on it. if i had wireless internet access that checked my email on the go, plus mapquest, outlook email/calender, and a phone all integrated in one........i would be so over that instead of the iphone.

but those pocket PC's aren't the most user friendly devices either.....with the iphone, you can basically figure it out right out of the box. pocket PC's take some learning with them.

i broke my dell axim a couple of years ago....grrrr. it was in my pocket, and i ran into the corner of a desk or some sort of sharp corner and it shatered the face plate and it never worked again. that was like a year and a half after i got it. the cost to fix it was absurd.....so it went in the closet. now its probably not even worth $5...

oh yeah, it could play music, had speakers, head phone jack, and took 3 sizes of SD cards...

I was pretty close to pulling the trigger on getting an iPhone but decided against it when I realized it wouldn’t work with my work email address (b/c for some unknown reason my company decided LotusNotes was good to run everything we do off of - and our IT department says there isnt anyway for us to be able to use an iPhone with our email client). None the less I ended up getting a Blackberry World 8830 for Verizon and have been extremely happy with it. Yeah it doesnt have all of the cool features that an iPhone does but it does what I need it to.

Yeah. If your using some sort of corporate email system, then blackberry will win every time. they have that feature on lock. I think the iPhone is for your techies and advanced phone users. I don;t think it was designed for the corporate world, but hey what do i know... I'm just a photographer. :)

I just got my voyager today. Its pretty awesome! I was trying to decide between the iphone and the voyager. The voyager just seemed like a better overall phone.

I didn't read but the last few posts but I had a Voyager and it sucked. It is no comparison to the iphone. If you want a more fair competitor look at the BB Storm.
