Vermatid snails and living with them

I have small ones mostly on the underside of rock overhangs/caves but they've never gotten really intrusive like I've seen some people show.

I occasionally crush the ones I can easily get to during water change when I notice them but nothing beyond that.

*I was dosing coral snow for a while during a cyano outbreak so maybe that helped but I wasn't really paying attention to vermetids during that time so unsure.

Are these Vermatid snails

If so, are they harmful? I would love to squeeze them (#tweaserlife) but I would hate to hurt my candy cane coral in the process.

Those are a different/less invasive type of tubeworm. I would not be worried about them. It’s the smaller ones with the brown tube that reproduce rapidly.

I’m wondering if bumblebee snails stink of if i just don’t have enough. For those that have gone the bumblebee route, how many are needed? I have 4 in a 75 gallon.

I put 50+ in my 125 gallon and they have done virtually nothing. Currently dosing at least 20ml of coral snow a night. I think im seeing a reduction in webs. I stir up my sand until i see webs and then i dose the coral snow.

I scrape them off rocks regularly with a bubble algae tool. I have tried coral snow religiously for a period of time and saw no difference. I have some bumblebee snails in QT but I seriously doubt they will make a difference.

Nothing is touching them other than management at this point.

I also have plague like proportions of vermatids and im not sure if bumblebees helped at all but i think since dosing coral snow im seeing way less webs.

Did you use DIY coral snow or a brand like KZ? When you poured it in the tank did it make it so cloudy you couldnt see through the glass or only mildy cloudy?

I have been using KZ coral snow which makes the tank insanely cloudy, i dose it at night when i see vermatids feeding and i do something like stirring up the sand to get them to cast the webs.

I recently tried switching to DIY coral snow which is 10tbsp of calcium carbonate in like 430-450 ml of RODI water, but i noticed its WAY less concentrated. Barely clouded up the tank at all compared to the KZ. Not sure why that would be the case. Maybe i need to double the amount of calcium carbonate powder.

Yes I used SunnyX diy recipe and its clouds up the tank immensely.
