Vermetid Snails

So I've started noticing quite a few vermetid snails popping up in my tank. Done a fair amount of reading, and they are clearly bad, but there isn't a great deal of good information on removal.

Gluing their holes shut isn't my idea of a great method, and my 2 emeralds haven't touched them to this point.

Is there any reason I shouldn't just use some tweezers and crush all the ones I can see and let my CUC and possibly my 6-line do their thing?

I probably would just leave them be, but there are 2 larger ones on my squamosa and a few on a hammer I have, and both have been noticeably unhappy when the snails put out their slime to feed.

I crush them when I can get to them but my wrasse seems to eat them too I have seen them get out of control so I would keep killing them when you can.

Do most wrasses eat them or is it just the six line wrasse that eats them?

The yellow corris is hit or miss also. Definitely not all wrasses

from what I read, there are no known predators. I'm sure some wrasses have eaten them, but the only time my six-line does is if I break the shell.

My tank was getting overran by vermetid snails and didn't feel like glueing every single one. Read that a corris wrasse will eat them and them snail went bye bye after the wrasse went into the tank.

My yellow corris hasn't touched them [emoji24]

I use tweezers to smash them and then my pep shrimp loves cleaning them up after I crush the tube.

Yeah I use bone cutters and crush them right before my weekly water changes. They can get pretty crazy if you get lazy on maintenance. I have never seen a wrasse eat them. Who knows though, you might get lucky.
