Switched to a Vertex and i swear it was the best investment i've ever made in my tank...even better than switching from Acan Lighting LED's to Radions lol
 
Getting my Vertex tomorrow (its been on back order since Black Friday). If you dont have one in hand or close you may be waiting a while
 
You might want to look into the new vertex omega, same build quality and only $350. It would work very well on a 100 gallon. But if I had to choose between your two I would go with ATB, easier to get replacement parts and the pump is very easy to get a replacement if you ever needed it.

+1 Love my ATB 840 V2 but the new Vertex Omega looks promising.
