Vertex Alpha 200

New Red Dragon pump purchased from Vertex last year. Lid has hairline crack on the inside ring, the piece is not loose and does not affect performance (see picture below). It was just too big once it came off a 200G system and onto a 120G so I downsized skimmers. It was a beast for me when properly sized. $450 shipped. Would also trade for Alpha 170.

Specifications:

  • Tank Size: 150 - 300 US Gallons (600 - 1150 L)
  • Footprint: 10" x 18"
  • Height: 23"
  • Air Draw: Adjustable 1700 to 2000 LPH
  • V-200 Skimmer Pump: approx. 28W
Features:
  • 100% cast-acrylic, PET-G and PVC construction
  • Full body cone chamber markedly enables stable foam formation
  • Super quiet, high-performance skimmer Askol-based pump - most powerful and efficient motor blocks in the industry
  • Oversized, CNC-milled bubble plate eliminates turbulence
  • Bayonet-style neck provides a secure, leak-free coupling between the cup and body
  • Easily accessible Ozone port
  • Built in skimmate drain
  • Easy maintenance - all parts can be disassembled
  • Grade II titanium screws - corrosion resistant
  • Silicone O-rings
