Vertex IN-80 ?

hi, thanks for reading my post. I was wondering how good of a skimmer the Vertex IN- 80 is for a 40 breeder tank? Also I'm going to be plumbing the 40 gallon into my 90 gallon's sump witch is a 30 gallon. In that 30 gallon sump I have the Supper reef xp- 2000 will that be able to handle both tanks? in the 90 gallon I have 9 fish then in the new 40 gallon i'm putting 10 platinum clowns in. will I need the vertex to? I'm trying to not use extra equipment if it's not really needed so..
