It’s fish moving day!!!!!
I only have 3 fish right now. A Naso and Tomini tang and a clown. I have had them all for 6+years and they have been in “jail”, I mean quarantine for a month now.

I hate moving them back and forth. I think it is as traumatic for me as it is for them. 30AC97C3-104B-4DE6-80AC-0544E9B1D775.jpeg

My fish are out of quarantine in in the display. Naso and Tomini tangs and a clown fish I’ve had for 8-10 years. The clown is make his mate passed several years ago. I wanted just a normal (not over bred) clown fish so I picked up this tiny one 638E9473-2C73-474C-8E3A-917634FCB670.jpeg iwas worried aboutmy big guy having an issue but they started swimming together instantly. The little one follows the older one everywhere and they sleep in the same spot. No issue at all. This picture is from the same day they met.

Did a 25% water change and started dosing brightwell Microbactr Clean. It says it will help the ugly phase. I guess we will see. I marked a place for my tripod and am going to take daily pictures of the progression of the build.

I am using a real camera to take pictures of the aquarium. my filters are on the way I will post my daily pics later today. put my first hardy Zoa in on Friday around 18:00. par reading at the spot I put it were 120-150. Larger heads on top were fully open before my lights went off at 10:00. the next morning all heads were open 1 hr after the lights came on.

I added the Zoa from a well established tank to help expand my micro-biodiversity. I have read that this helps combat the "ugly" phase. Im starting to see a small amount of brown algae on by sand bed and rocks.

Nitrate - 8ppm
Phosphate-0.08ppm

It’s been a while since your last update! Did the microbactr clean help with the ugly phase at all?
