Where in Florida? Maybe you can ship your fish and favorite corals to a LFS overnight to hold for you until you get here. (Or a nice friend that is willing to set up a QT for you until you are ready.)

You could probably keep most of the rock as long as it stay damp (moist!). That would probably save you a lot of time and money when setting up the 1500. The fish will make the journey if you have large containers that you can aerate. I made a road trip from Duluth, MN to Ann Arbor, MI which was about 13 hours with an overnight stop. Everything survived in 5 gallon buckets.

I drove from New York to Arizona with live rock, coral and some fish in large sterlite containers with air pump plugged into the cig lighter using a power converter.
Did the drive in 3 days during the month of Sept years ago

saturday:
what are the chances that I stop by an LFS as long as I was at a brookfield restaurant and a fellow is coming out of his truck with a bucket to see if this LFS wanted a 5+" purple tang since it was too big for his tank and ask if I was looking for one. When i asked, he said $100. Its a red sea version !!!
EXCUSE ALL THE WHITE DOTS- I JUST FED (only way I was going to get Any pics)

Awesome tank. Looks like the return is on one end like a peninsula tank. What's the view from the other side?
Return on both ends for a total of 7 nozzles

Beautiful tank. With all the large tangs you have added I am surprised how few can be seen in most photos.
Naturally when you approach the tank with a camera in your hand - Theyre out of here !!!

My fish are the opposite when trying to take a coral pic, especially my 14" salfin tang. He was always photo booming/blocking my photos. Of course things are different when trying to take photos of the fish.

My big sailfin darts off also. The vlamingi comes right in your face and blocks everything

What is this orange coral?
Some kind of nephtea?
Is it really that orange in real, or just color balance issue.
