This is 400 gallons, not 440 - Oops

Beautiful tank! Just curious, why daily water changes and how much water are you changing?

As stated- 2 gallons daily. Attended seminars and benefits were shown. For me, it keeps nitrate and phos in check, reduces toxins if any as i run a mixed reef and ever since I started this daily change, I have noticed excellent SPS color and growth likely from restored trace elements with the minor changes . I always had little to no SPS growth and now I could not be happier with all coral activity.

Sorry, I missed the part where you said 2 gallons daily. Thats awesome. I am going to look into doing daily water changes now.

I thought - what a pain and once doing it, It takes maybe 7-8 minutes while I do watching TV or stereo on.
I have the advantage of a water change station which makes it even easier.

Awesome idea, muddling through it. I'm only seeing this page but I'm assuming there is more?
One question, How did you arrive at 2 gallons per day, Is there a formula or something?
