Thanks Seth.. it’s hard for me to make it out there anyway by the time they open I’m already done in my fish room and on to something else.

I will be following to see if that indeed is a thing.

I would recommend hold out as long as you can and let the tank mature and while you wait get you a nice fish list together.. (not saying you don’t have one already ) then you’ll be ready when the time comes.
The weirdest part of it all is usually you hear about diseases wiping out entire tanks, but I have fish that have lived through all the deaths and haven’t had anything wrong with them (knock on wood). I just hate that some of my favorite fish have died while my “canary in the coal mine” mollies (that aren’t even technically saltwater fish) are just chillin and thriving. Reefing is a strange slightly masochistic hobby.

Where did the nem go??
It was on the glass for days and not in a good spot, so I gently removed it and put it back on the rock work. It’s been ***** for a couple of days now, but not showing any signs of deterioration or anything. Probably didn’t help that shortly after being returned to the rock the big maroon clown took immediate interest.

Haven’t been on in a while. The nem is making a good recovery. Seriously thought he was down for the count. Blastos, GSP, Kenya tree and shrooms are doing great. Zoas are having a bit of a rough go right now and I’m pretty sure the stylocoenellia is dead. The lepto started looking crappy, so I gave it a dip. Patiently waiting to see if it recovers. The candy cane is almost finished with its split. All fish are doing a-ok and just picked up a shy emerald crab yesterday.

Lepto and stylo have officially kicked the bucket. Zoas have fallen victim to a black sponge that is apparently impossible to eradicate. Everything else is doing good though. GSP is really starting to spread a little. Looking back at old pics give some good perspective to just how much. Its growth is probably slow by some reefers’ standards, but I’m proud of its progress.
