Vortech ES models wireless function?

I have a vortech mp10ES I was wondering if you need all pumps to be wES for them to communicate? I was under the impression that only the wES versions can send signal but all other's can receive it....in other words I can use one wES to sync with a non-w ES... can someone help clear this up? thanks!

they all need to have the RF Module (wireless chip) in order to communicate with one another. If one of your pumps does not have it then you can get the chip alone for ~$45 on ecotech's website. Installation is pretty easy too.
