I have a used Vortech MP40wes for sale. This pump operated flawlessly and quietly on my reef until shutting it down a couple months ago. After cleaning everything a couple weeks ago, I tested the unit in an ultra-thin acrylic 20 gallon tank to make sure everything was still OK after cleaning. The dry side was completely quiet, but the wet side made a slight noise at >80% output. This noise could have been caused by turbulence in the small tank (a MP40 is a bit high flow for a 20 gallon tank) or vibration in the thin acrylic wall or even an air bubble trapped that I didn't give time to escape. I have included a picture of the magnet below that shows it is in perfect condition so there is no reason for any noise once installed in a larger tank and allowed to run for a period of time. Regardless, I adjusted the asking price to account for the unknown. I'm asking $140 shipped. Thanks.
