I contacted Roger about the noise. He sent me some 18v jumpers and some larger props and the noise went away....

My Vortec where amazing when I first got them. After four months I have had nothing but problems. They where always going in error mode and would shut off all the time. It sucks when you go away for a day or to and they shut down or fall off. They put out the best flow I have ever seen and my corals did look better. But I feel they are not reliable for the money

They don't ramp up and down anymore? I have to leave one of mine at 10% when I am home watching TV :( I know Brian has the same problem as well.
you know i hear alot about vortech wet sides falling off after power goes out.....you know i shut my mp40w off every night at midnight and have it turn back on at noon via a reef keeper and i have it on 1/2" glass on my 150xt....you know what......i have not had any problem with it falling off...you need to reread your manual to set that spacer the right way....I had the same issues with mine. The wetside was always falling off.
