My UNS 4ft has 3 sox in the sump. Turn them inside out blast with sprayer and use nylon scrub brush from the $1 store. After that, I wring them out and they are nearly white and at times have a slight smell. Two days outside in the sun bleaches them out without chemicals. One day one side facing up, then reverse sides day two. Look like new, Sox weave is undamaged and they are ready to go.
