Anyone know what species of waspfish this is? I would love to know so I can read more about it. It was a good size, about 5in I would guess. I'll probably be going back to the LFS later tonight so let me know if you need more pictures :D.

Looks to be a scorpion of some kind rather than a waspfish to me, but Lionfish Lair will know [emoji14]

Yeah I figured out later, while waiting for a work meeting to start :oops:, that it is a scorpionfish not a wasp I just can't find the exact species. For some silly reason I went off the assumption that it was a wasp because that's how it was labeled, I should know better o_O.

So far my thought is Parascorpaena picta. I could be wrong very easily, but there's an option :)

It kind of looks like scorpaena brasiliensis to me but I can't tell for certainty.
