Water blaster pumps

I have the WB 2000 and it's ok. If I had to do it over again I would get another pump and for the money I think you can buy a better pump.

I'll be getting either an HY-5000 or HY-7000 in about a month. All the reviews I've read have been good ones so far.

Wrasseluver what didn't you like about the HY-2000?

It's not a bad pump. It's just a few small things. It has more of a hum then I would like. The suction cups came off in one day of me using it. For paying $158 for this pump I thought I would get better performance. For the money I would buy an ehiem or a better name brand.

I installed a HY5000 about 6 month ago - so far it has run flawlessly, it's quiet and restarts every time. I'm pleased with it's performance, especially when considering the energy usage.

Might want to consider a Laguna Maxflo 1500 as well. You can pick them up for $125 shipped from az ponds. These are very strong pumps and are VERY quiet. Same pump used on the ATB Flowstar 1500

Heres mine I just bought for my new 135 rimless. I put an acrylic base with rubber feet on it though.
