What would be making my water for water changes to drop alkalinty so much in a week .

Are you saying the tank water alk goes down when you do a water change? Or that during the week after you do a water change the alk goes down?

What is the alk before you do a water change?
And one hour after?
Tell us something about your tank. How big, water parameters, corals???

Alk is consumed by corals. So if you have corals in your tank, that's where the Alk goes.

Are you using RODI water? Kinda wish I had your problem right now.

I'm using rodi water with a 43 tds in and 0 out I just have a heater and a pump to circulate the water

What kind of salt?
Corals?

Calcium?
Alk?
Magnesium?
Sounds like it's probably coral consumption as said previously.
You can dose and probably may need to bring your parameters back up.

I'ts Aquaforest reef salt and the water is my mixing water I'ts not in the tank yet

Have you check out website to see what your salt should be mixing to at desired salinity level? They all have it. And differ considerably from what I'm recently seeing.
Do a google on your salt it should give all that to you. It may come lower parameters than what you need right out of the bag/box/container.

On Edit and quick search looks like your salt mixes low on alkalinity side depending on what your salinity levels your mixing it to.

What is level if salinity your mixing too?

When I mix it to 1.026 I'ts between 8-8.3 with a hanna checker leave it circulating in the tub for a week it drops to 6-6.5 with the hanna checker I can buffer it back up and a week later I'ts down again

Right on I'll let a pro chime in here.
I can tell you my salt mixing 2 points higher than what it ends up in my system. Dunno why couldn't tell you but I'm sure there is an explanation.
