So unfortunately I found a plastic tote box on the side of my yard and it got about 1/4 filled with water, the bummer is my woodworking tools were in there and yes they are wet, is there a way to save them or am I SOL?

Not sure exactly what kind of tools you’re talking about, but drying them out, sanding, and soaking in linseed oil might save your handles. If they’re wood, of course. Not sure if you’ve got rust issues. Sanding and sharpening should get the tools back in shape. Yikes. I'd take them apart as far as your comfortable with. Then dry them thoroughly. Maybe clean parts with alcohol. Dry with rice. Absolutely do not try to run them until they are totally dry. How long were they in the water for?

I use dewalt drills in the rain and snow all the time. Allow sufficient drying time and you'll probably be ok.

Same here. But it sounds like these were submerged for an extended period so who knows

I've had to use my hammer drill to board up 20 windows in a downpour. Be patient and let them dry out. Electrical components are always insulated.

I think that they were half-submerged for at least 2 weeks, there is rust on the. blades of the portable planner, the jigsaw maybe not as bad, both were higher end, so I am really bummed. I will try to take them apart and see how bad it is, I know that Verison has the dryers for phones and other electronics, I would have to re submerge them in RO/DI water and then bring them in.
