So this is a weird question so forgive me. I may be good no back to a 2 door car. I’m wondering how do you guys transport water safety in your cars? I’m getting a bmw and prefer not to have Saltwater all over trunk .

I’m thinking a Big storage tote and buckets inside of that?

I don't transport water in my car, but look up gamma seal lids. I use them in my fish room and they are really nice. Home depot and Lowes in my area have started carrying them.

I was gonna just say buckets, but the tote is a great idea! Just cause you never know when some jerk in a bmw is gonna cut you off

And the tote probably only needs to be 5-6 inches tall. You can probably find a Rubbermaid one that fits the trunk perfect.

Or you can just get an RO/DI unit for your house

Carboys! That's how many LFS sell water.

Better yet, buy an RO/DI and make your own. This way the BMW is guaranteed to stay dry. :D

Lol I actually have a rodi unit how ever I need to buy a booster for it. My water pressure apparently isn’t enough :(

Also worried about my water bill going up . I do 10 gallons a week water change . And use 10 gallons or less for top off .

I will be doing 10 gallons a week every 2 weeks now that my tank is stabilizing .

Black friday sales will probably allow people looking for a rodi unit to purchase one for the same cost as just the filters and di resin. A little over $100 is well worth it in the long run!

Get the booster pump! 10 gallons of water would produce around 40 gallons of waste. That's roughly the same amount of water as a couple average showers. I don't know where you live or how much water is, but I think it would be cheaper than buying at LFS

Get your RODI working there is not that much cost on your water bill to justify lugging water around.
I do use Gama lids that fit on regular buckets for moving water anywhere in the house or in a car.
