So i took the plunge and purchased a Waterbox 150.4 for my living room and in the process of getting everything set up before I fill it.

I made a piece of trim that goes on the ceiling to hang the hood from, Braced the floor up with some LVL and a lolly column, ran some pvc and valves so I can have a UV in the basement and a possible chiller if needed.

Tank is going in the corner so i painted the short side, I also added one of those safe motion lighting kits for the stand, nice and bright!

I water tested it in my garage to make sure everything was alright.

I still have quite a bit of setup to do!

Parts:
Control: Hydros x4 pro pack, Kracken, Wave Engine, custom cables 800ah battery backup system
Lights: 3 Kessil a360x 2/ 2 reefbrite 48in strips in custom hood
Skimmer: Reef Octopus Eliete 150
Filter Roller: Redsea Reefmat 1200
Return Pump: Varios 4S
Reactors: Hang on Aquamax
ATO: Hydros ATO
Dosers: 3 Hydros Dosers
Heaters: 2x 200w Jager w/ inkbird

Following along! This is shaping up to be one awesome build!
Thanks! I’m still trying to figure out when I run my UV or chiller I was going to use another various 4. What should I run the pump external and put it in the basement or should I put it in the sump next to the other one running an externally would be nice to get it out of the sump but I don’t know how that would work because the pipe would go up and down to the basement, so I guess I have to be careful of siphon, if you use one of those clear check valves like on the water box overflow

Ok everyone I though I would give an update on the tank build a lot has happened in the last few weeks.

Most of the plumbing is done. The uv is plumbed right under the floor with a various 8 pump leaving some pump room incase I add a chiller down below the tank.

The reefmat I was able to plumb in running the 40mm pvc all the way from the drain adding some unions for easy disassembly. the blue unions really bother me LOL but ill re-plumb in grey when the come in, was over a month to get them to me in new york from overseas. I was able to use the collar from the reefmat and one side of those blue unions to get it to thread right to the reef mat.

Hydros systems is mostly complete except a few cables I need to make for the ATO System in the basement. I make all my own extensions so I can disconnect the sensors in the basement for maintenance if need be.

The kraken is such a nice piece of equipment I got rid of a ton of power bricks and also ran the reef mat to a 12v force port, and the auto feeder to force port via a 12v to 5v usb adapter. Im going to play with adding the varios 8 pump via a 24v to 36v converter in the near future.

I will be using 4 6v marine batteries 2 run in series and the 2 banks in parallel which will give me around 800ah of backup power which should make me able to run the reef brite led strips, return, powerheads, and filter roller in case of a power outage.

I spent a lot of time doing wire management and making custom cables to make it all clean. Pumps and power heads are on extensions so maintenance will be easy.

Building the scape was not easy, it was my first time took me about 8 hours, 10 oz of thick super glue gel, 10 oz of thin super glue, and 11 tubes of epoxy sticks, ITS STRONG!

I plan on doing a mixed reef, and im just waiting on my turbo start 900 and fishless ammonia and I'm ready to fill!

Thanks everyone for the looks and input!

Did you have to do any modification to get the ReefMat 1200 to fit? I'm about to order a 150.4 but the sump diagram shows that compartment was 8.5x15 and the ReefMat 1200 specs show it as 10.6x11.8. It doesn't look like you cut out the glass divider, is it simply that the RedSea measurement is at the widest point which is actually above the sump?
