Waterbox 20 Gallon Cube

Gonna be reviving my WB20 after 2 years out of the hobby, will be trying to document the process and how I set everything up

Have attached a photo of the previous scape which I’ll be reusing

My previous version of this tank was bare bottom but will be having a sand bed this time around

Gonna be LPS/Leather dominant, I work away 2 weeks at a time so it’s gonna be a reasonably hi tech set up so my spouse only needs to feed the tank and the equipment will take care of the rest

Equipment plans so far include

- RedSea NanoMat
- AI Hydra 32HD
- AI Axis 20/40(which would anyone recommend)
- Tunze auto top off from previous set up
- Bubble Magus nano Skimmer
- open to suggestions on a power head people like on their Cubes
-I’ve got a coral box dosing pump from previous set up planning to dose allforreef when I get corals in the tank


Any other equipment suggestions would be appreciated especially to make things easier for when I’m away

TANK UPDATE

lots of progress has been made over the last two days since being home. The tank has been picked up from storage and I have purchased a stand to suit.

I have purchased most of the equipment I’m gonna need for the tank with only a few things still required

RedSea ReefLED 90 (used bargain)
AI Axis 40 return pump
Aqua One Titanium Heater
Caribsea Bimini Pink Live Sand
2 water storage Jugs for salt and RODI

Still need a RedSea NanoMat but will add that after cycle, but I have added the 3D printed piece I need to make the NanoMat work in the Waterbox.

For the last 24 hours the tank and all my previous used equipment has had tap water circulating with citric acid to bring everything back into working order and I am surprised with how clean it all was to begin with, it will be drained tomorrow morning and completely dried so I can add sand and revived rock scape then my cycle will start!

How did you attach the axis 40 to the return nozzle on WB20?
