This is my third upgrade in 2 years and hopefully it's my final upgrade. I found this sweet deal on reef2reef and he only live 2 hours away. $1650 for the whole package including clarisea sk-5000 and vectra L2 return pump.

Using all dry/bleached rock since I don't want pests from my other tank.

Temporary using cheap ebay powerhead to get the cycle going. Once its cycle, I'll be moving my equipment over from my old tank.

Will be using 5 Hydra 64 over hsm rail and 3 mp40 pumps once it's cycled

Following along. I have been looking into this tank too for an upgrade. It looks like the filter socks have been taken out of the sump and using a roller. Do you plan to do any other modifications?

Installed hms rail and 4 Ai Hydra 64. Took me awhile to choose between the aquatic t5 hybrid and hms rail.

I went with the rail because I love how clean it look and wife is happy no holes in ceiling. Tank is almost done with cycle. Should be able to add fish soon.

have you debated on getting t5 to add to your hydras?

I'm wanting to do it but like you mentioned, the wife wouldn't like the hanging from the ceiling etc

I ended up selling my t5s and stick with hydras. I like the clean look with no wire hanging from the ceiling. Wife also approved.

Thanks for the awesome deal Dan. How's the new house? Did you get a bigger tank?
You're welcome! It's nice to see it running again, you did an amazing job! The new house is great! I am in the process of finishing the basement so for now I just went with a Waterbox Frag 55.2 system in my office.

March 6 - upgraded to equatic 61 inch led hybrid for more coverage. I didn't like the hms rail they seem to sag overtime.
